Women from the Lanten ethnic minority group in the north of Laos are well known for their sturdy handwoven, naturally dyed cotton. They are also expert embroiderers, creating colorful and whimsical designs on a variety of products for the tourist market in Laos. Taleo Handmade, in partnership with the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre in Luang Prabang, Laos, hosted an artist-in-residence product development workshop with Lanten women.
